Libera

10) Lament
Libera is unified to sound as one simple call; the natural purity they embody is perfect for Lament's plainsong characteristics as their sound floats with ease through the peaceful aura that has been created in the air. The boys' voices leap up and fall at intervals where the pitch is as pinpointed as tiny lights - holding, resolving, fading. Feeding and bleeding, one note to another, the sound left behind after each phrase is a warm glow that melts into the abyss. The deep, resonating hum is a hollow blanket of sound that pulsates natural harmonics in and around the boys' sound. A low and powerful swell, it lies underneath but is tingling in its presence. To fall into such a state of physical release is inevitable and yet the mind is alert, listening so attentively, eyes open to the world.
